2005 International Figure Exhibition

Eligibility
and Media:
All two dimensional work in a realistic figurative style using any media and
all three dimensional realistic figurative sculpture are eligible to enter the
2005 National Figure Exhibition. All work must have been completed since January
2003.
Entry:
Slides and or JPEG images only. Postmark deadline is September 10th. Send all
information (see checklist for entry) to Red Dot Fine Art Attn: Figure Exhibition,
616 1/2 B Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Slides will not be returned unless
a self addressed stamped envelope with appropriate postage is submitted with
entry. All work must be for sale. No price changes will be allowed as all information
is processed from the registration forms.
Entry Fee
and Procedure:
A non-refundable entry fee of $30 for 1-3 entries and $5 for each additional
entry. The fee must be submitted with the completed registration form and one
#10 self addressed stamped envelope. The entry fee does not cover shipping of
the artwork. THE ARTIST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING TO THE GALLERY AND PREPAID
RETURN SHIPPING FOLLOWING THE SHOW. (NO COD’s)
Labeling:
All slides submitted for consideration must be labeled as shown below:
Identification
of Artwork:
Accepted entries must have a legible identification tag with the following information:
Name, Title of Work, Medium, Dimensions and Price.
Exhibition:
The selected works will hang at Red Dot Fine Art located at 616 1/2 B Canyon
Road from November 14th through December 3, 2005. No early removal of work is
allowed. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday November 18, 2005 from
5pm—8pm.
Limitations:
An entry to this exhibit constitutes full agreement on the part of the artist
to all conditions outlined in this proposal. Accepted work that differs from
the slides will be disqualified.
2 dimensional work must be strongly framed and wired ready for hanging.
No frames of fragile or precious materials that cannot withstand normal handling
and storage will be accepted.
Any substandard presentation will be disqualified.
The jurors will have final authority to define what constitutes an acceptable
entry.
The artist grants permission to Red Dot Fine Art to reproduce entries for the
purposes of publicity.
Receiving
& Return of Accepted works:
Work can be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped work must be sent prepaid in
reusable cardboard boxes (no foam beads to be used in packing). Work will be
returned at the Artist’s expense shortly after the close of the exhibition
via prepaid carrier.
Sales and
Promotion
Red Dot Fine Art will retain 50% commission on all sales directly from the exhibition.
The gallery is committed to the promotion and sale of fine art submitted to
this exhibition.
Jury
Work will be juried by a committee of art professionals living and working in
New Mexico.
